Inside NASA: From Dream to Discovery
7:00 - 8:00 pm
Experience the challenges of the next generation of space exploration. By using exciting real-life projects like NASA's James Webb Space Telescope and the New Horizons mission to Pluto, this program highlights the extreme nature of spacecraft engineering and the life cycle of a space mission — from design and construction to the rigors of testing, launch, and operations. When humans dare to dream, we create truly amazing things.

This fulldome program is followed by a tour of the Autumn night sky as seen from Buffalo.

Run time: Approximately 50 minutes.  For ages 5 - adult

Hubble Space Telescope: New Views of the Universe
6:30 - 7:00, 8:00 - 8:30, & 9:30 - 10:00 pm
This large NASA exhibit immerses visitors in the magnificence and
mystery of the Hubble Space Telescope, which revolutionized our
view of the Universe. A scale model of the HST is the focal point of
the installation, and "satellite" units incorporate hands-on activities
about how the telescope works. A "Space/Time" section features
Hubble's contributions to the exploration of planets, stars, galaxies,
and the universe, and a model and information about the James
Webb Telescope discuss the follow-on mission to Hubble. Access
to this exciting exhibit is included with your planetarium ticket.

Skies of the Harvest
8:30 - 9:30 pm
Join us for this live presentation highlighting the autumn skies over Buffalo.  With cooling weather comes better viewing conditions of our window into space. 

You will learn about current events in astronomy as well as the sometimes scary tales of the Autumn constellations. Learn about   one of the most popular myths of all time related to Perseus, Andromeda, and Medusa.

Run time: Approximately 50 minutes.  For ages 5 - adult
