NOTE: Please use the online system at least 6 hours prior to the scheduled showtime. If you are making reservations on the date of the program, please call us at 878-4911 and leave your request information.
Reservations are strongly suggested, but not required. Due to volume, any unclaimed reserved tickets will be released if not claimed 10 minutes prior to showtime.

SHOW DESCRIPTION:From the winter solstice, the length of nighttime shortens by mere minutes per day. During this time, the Earth continues its journey around the sun, creating changes in the celestial background, changing our constellations while the northern hemisphere begins to prepare for the vernal equinox. 2012 brings various events to the night skies over Buffalo. Get a first-hand look at these events and more...
On weather permitting Friday nights, join the planetarium staff after the program in looking up at the night sky (no ticket necessary). If you come at the right time, the International Space Station or a satellite may just appear above your head.
WHAT TO EXPECT:While this is a live, interactive program, it is intended to educate as well as entertain audiences of ages 6 and up. The lights will dim and a simulated night sky will be projected onto our 24-foot dome. Each day's topics are similar but it is not scripted, so the program may be slightly different each time!
Please note that the planetarium will be completely darkened at times so please take that into account with children.
